Unlike many other providers, we do not use any US based carriers for data sovereignty and security reasons.  Many Hong Kong providers use insecure service providers due to their low cost, including Cogent and HE.net.

Direct China Connectivity Options

Each connection comes with direct China connectivity, with the option of purchasing "Dedicated China bandwidth" straight to the major Chinese Telecom's: China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile.

Extreme Privacy Option / Private IDC Option

For those wanting the absolute most in privacy and security we offer the option to have your own "secret" physically separate facility.  With this package, we will setup a separate concrete reinforced private datacenter for your exclusive use, with all entry and exit being granted by your consent.

Example Setup

A large oil company from the Middle East needed secure infrastructure, with great connectivity for both local clients and international clients, while also desiring high speed connectivity to China.

Network / Internet Side

Redundant private routers were used to connect directly to the fiber optic lines from the client's chosen providers.

HKT - 1x50G Circuit

HKBN - 1x100G Circuit

HGC - 1x100G Circuit

Traffic was load balanced between all 3 circuits according to client needs with routes being optimized for the client (eg. sometimes they found HGC had less latency so routing to their area was prioritized for certain applications and users).

LAN 

Private switching was used to distribute connectivity to the client side servers.  A combination of 10G Ethernet and 100G Infiniband was used to ensure high speed internet connectivity and 100G inifiband was used to ensure high-speed LAN traffic between nodes.

Firewall

A multi-layered firewall system was setup which filters traffic via all of the internet connections for the client.

Servers

The client had migrated from a VMWare solution to Proxmox for more flexibility.  Several redundant server storage nodes using Ceph with NVME OSDs were used to provide high speed data to the cluster.

The client had a variety of servers ranging between 2-4x 24-192 Cores and between 512G and 4TB+ of RAM.

Conclusion

The client has been very pleased with this setup and has had consistent performance and uptime.  We configure the solution to meet the needs of the client.

Minimum Package Requirements

Some clients just want 1-2 high performance servers with multiple 1G-10G or 1-2 x 100G circuits to handle their internal and external traffic requirements of worldwide staff and clients, while others need significant amounts of storage and compute resources.
